Double Drums bring Christmas to Groove

When baking sheets, whisks, and nutcrackers suddenly set the rhythm, the Asamsaal in Freising transforms into an extraordinary Christmas stage. On Sunday, November 29, 2026, the award-winning percussion duo Double Drums presents GROOVIN' CHRISTMAS, an energetic X-Mas show for the whole family.

Christmas Classics with a Surprising Sound

Double Drums show how much rhythm is hidden in well-known Christmas melodies. Between Bach's Christmas Oratorio and modern Jingle Beats, a concert evening is created that combines classical sound worlds with humorous stage performance. Precise synchronization, virtuosic conducting, and creative orchestration turn everyday objects into surprising instruments.

Baking Sheet, Whisk, and Nutcracker in Time

The musicians transform kitchen utensils and unusual sound bodies into a lively percussion ensemble. The baking sheet grooves, the whisk becomes the rhythm giver, and the large nutcracker complements the musical Christmas world with a good dose of humor. The varied percussion show shifts between joyful energetic passages, contemplative moments, and pointed comedy.

Clapping, Singing, and Guessing Christmas Songs

The concert experience explicitly caters to families and actively involves the audience. Children and adults can clap along, guess well-known Christmas songs, and make the audience mood a part of the sound. After the finale, a rhythm fireworks awaits, filling the hall with pulsating live atmosphere.

Double Drums: Percussion with Stage Experience

The duo is known for its inventiveness and genre-crossing percussion. In addition to their own concert formats like Groovin' Christmas, Double Drums have appeared in various German television formats. Their stage performance combines musical precision with visual comedy, making drumming music immediately accessible even to a young audience.

Conclusion: A Christmas Concert that Resonates

Anyone who wants to experience classical Christmas music from the perspective of drums, kitchen utensils, and virtuosic percussion should not miss this family concert at the Asamsaal Freising.
