Marian Kretschmer and Art as Mediator
Marian Kretschmer works as an artist, illustrator, and art therapist. His work moves between painting, graphics, and socially oriented imagery. According to Galerie Schmidt-Rottluff Chemnitz, he was born in 1983 in Chemnitz, studied at the Academy of Graphic and Book Art Leipzig, and published his first graphic novel “The Seven Lives of Stefan Heym” in 2024. His works are intended as a contribution to enlightenment and awareness in a society shaped by prejudices.
A Look at Tanzania Broadens the Horizon
The workshop results are complemented by works created as part of Kretschmer's school projects in Tanzania. This perspective gives the exhibition additional depth: the local educational project opens up to a global experiential space and shows how art bridges different worlds of life.
