Graffiti for Children's Rights: An Exhibition Full of Color and Attitude
From September 8 to October 17, 2026, the Freising City Library will transform into an open exhibition space for creative statements about children's rights. Under the title Creative Work for Children's Rights, the Freising Academy for Social Education presents numerous graffiti works on canvas. Admission is free.
When Street Art Meets Cultural Education
The exhibited works were created during a workshop with the artist Oliver Skarvan. Aspiring educators translate central children's rights into color, form, and an immediate visual language. The graffiti art combines painterly dynamics with social pedagogical responsibility and makes societal issues visible.
Colors, Shapes, and Clear Messages
Vibrant color fields, striking contours, and the expressive aesthetics of street art characterize the exhibition. In the examination of the works, themes such as participation, equality of opportunity, inclusion, as well as the right to protection and a voice emerge. Each piece invites viewers to rediscover the connection between artistic expression and societal statements.
An Artistic Experience for Families and Young Visitors
The City Library offers a suitable setting for this exhibition as an open house for culture, education, and leisure. Among books, reading areas, and meeting places, a special exhibition atmosphere is created: accessible, lively, and inviting. Families, children, teenagers, and art-interested adults experience cultural education as an aesthetic experience with direct relevance to everyday life.
Art as an Impulse for Exchange and Inclusion
The curation of the project connects painting, graffiti, and educational mediation. This opens different access points to art: through the visual impact of the works, through the historical closeness to the street art movement, and through the question of how children's rights become visible in images. The presentation stimulates conversation and strengthens awareness of young people's perspectives.
Conclusion: Experiencing Children's Rights Visibly
Creative Work for Children's Rights connects expressive graffiti art with cultural education and social responsibility. Visitors can expect a colorful artistic experience with a strong stance, surprising visual ideas, and space for personal reflection. Those who want to experience art not only as viewing but as an impulse for encounter and inclusion should definitely visit the exhibition at the Freising City Library in person.
