A Magical Picture Book Journey with Merlind and Dragon Igor
In the city library of Freising, a lovingly designed family experience awaits children aged 3 to 4: In the picture book cinema Merlind and the Cursed Birthday Cake, young listeners dive into an imaginative world full of magic, friendship, and children's laughter.
A Birthday Cake with Obstacles
Merlind wants to conjure a cake for her dragon Igor's birthday. But she can't remember the right magic spell. A wrong spell leads to a surprising twist: Igor disappears and needs to be found. Together with the forest witch Ulla, Merlind begins an adventurous search.
Reading, Pictures, and Shared Awe
The picture book cinema combines the familiar atmosphere of a reading session with the colorful images of Daniela Drescher. The story invites children to listen attentively, discover characters, and develop their own thoughts about the plot. This creates an age-appropriate learning experience filled with fun and room for imagination.
Child-Friendly Development through Stories
Reading supports language development, expands vocabulary, and strengthens concentration. At the same time, children experience how Merlind deals with a difficult moment and finds a solution together with others. Themes like friendship, helpfulness, and courage come to life in a child-friendly way.
A Warm Family Experience in the Library
The cozy reading session provides families with shared time in a quiet environment. Bright pictures, an imaginative story, and the closeness to familiar caregivers create a sense of safety and community. For children aged 3 and up, the event offers a fitting introduction to the world of libraries and picture books.
Conclusion: Families can expect a loving picture book cinema event with magician Merlind, dragon Igor, and an exciting birthday search. Anyone who wants to inspire children with stories, pictures, and imaginative learning will experience a special reading afternoon in Freising.
