Spooky fun with Bunny Hibiscus at the Freising City Library
On Wednesday, November 11, 2026, the Freising City Library invites children aged five and up to an imaginative storytime with picture book cinema. Together with Nalan Eroglu, the young listeners will dive into the adventure Bunny Hibiscus and the gruesome fright.
An exciting story filled with children's laughter
Bunny Hibiscus, Maxi Mouse, and Tom Bear experience a heavy thunderstorm. Thunder, lightning, and mysterious shadows create thrilling moments. But behind the seemingly gruesome fright lies a humorous story that shows children: Not everything that initially seems spooky is truly dangerous.
Picture book cinema brings reading to life
The combination of narrated story and large images supports active listening and brings the characters to life in the children's imagination. Sounds, feelings, and surprising twists create an age-appropriate learning experience that fosters curiosity, language development, and imagination.
Quality time for families
The storytime is aimed at children aged five and up accompanied by an adult. In the calm atmosphere of the library, families will experience a child-friendly cultural event filled with learning fun, excitement, and shared time. The proven format of the City Library combines literary education with a warm family experience.
Child-friendly, safe, and free
The event takes place in the rooms of the City Library. Parents and accompanying persons stay with the children during the storytelling. Admission is free. The Freising City Library regularly offers events for children and young people, creating a protected space for reading, listening, and exploring together.
Conclusion: An afternoon full of fantasy
During the picture book cinema, children aged five and up will experience a humorous spooky story, meet lovable characters, and discover how courage and friendship can help. Families in Freising will enjoy a special hour filled with wonder, excitement, and children's laughter on November 11. Save the date and dive into Bunny Hibiscus' adventure together.
