Winter Picture Book Cinema for Little Book Fans
As winter sets in and Christmas approaches, the city library of Freising becomes cozy: During the storytime for children aged 5 and up, families experience the picture book cinema The Chicken Christmas. The story about Rooster Tocke and his flock of chickens combines reading aloud, large pictures, and shared wonder into a warm family experience.
A Animal Christmas Adventure
Rooster Tocke and his 23 chickens are completely excited when the first snow falls. The funny residents of the chicken farm discover the wintry world, celebrate exuberantly, and prepare for Christmas. The colorful pictures make the story vivid for children aged 5 years and up and invite them to look closely and develop their own thoughts about the plot.
Reading, Watching, and Discovering Together
The picture book cinema engages multiple senses: Children listen to the story, follow the large images displayed, and experience how separate scenes create a cohesive narrative. This child-friendly learning experience fosters language understanding, concentration, imagination, and the joy of books. At the same time, it creates valuable shared time for children and their companions.
Age-Appropriate and Safe in the Library
The event is aimed at children aged 5 and up. The city library of Freising provides a suitable, quiet setting for an age-appropriate storytime with its children's library. In the protected indoor atmosphere, children can listen curiously, formulate questions, and develop their first own ideas about a wintry Christmas world.
A Special Afternoon for Families
Storytimes strengthen the joy of language and stories and create a sense of community that extends beyond the visit to the event. Children's laughter, wintry pictures, and the adventurous flock of chickens make this afternoon a little Christmas moment in the heart of Freising.
Conclusion: Families can expect a lovingly designed picture book cinema with a wintery atmosphere, animal humor, and valuable learning fun.
