„In Rilke's Garden“ connects the poetry of Rainer Maria Rilke with piano music by Micael Gelius and Alexander Wagner. The literary-musical event takes place on November 21, 2026 in Freising and is aimed at all those who wish to experience poetry and music in a shared performance.
At the center are poems by the significant German-speaking poet Rainer Maria Rilke. His texts meet piano music composed by Micael Gelius and Alexander Wagner. This creates an event format in which language and instrumental music are intertwined.
Literature meets piano music
The event offers a concentrated encounter with Rilke's poetic language and musical sounds. The poems are not presented in isolation but are in dialogue with the piano music. This results in a literary-musical evening where both forms of expression stand on equal footing and complement each other.
„In Rilke's Garden“ is neither a pure concert nor a classical reading. The program combines selected poems by Rainer Maria Rilke with piano music by Micael Gelius and Alexander Wagner. Specific details about individual poems, the order of contributions, or the duration of the event are not available.
