Poetry Slam in Freising: Ko Bylanzky Presents an Evening Full of Linguistic Art

Poetry Slam in Freising: When Words Become Stage Energy

On November 11, 2026, the Lindenkeller in Freising will transform into a resonance chamber for poetry, storytelling, rap, and spoken word. At the Poetry Slam, voices from the entire German-speaking region will compete against each other – complemented by brave poets from Freising who will present their own texts live.

Poetry, Voice, and Body

Poetry Slam thrives on immediate language and the tension of the moment. Serious poetry encounters humorous stories, outrageous performances, and rhythmic rap. The crucial factors are the self-composed texts, stage presence, and linguistic artistry – not props, costumes, or instruments.

An Open Stage for Literary Diversity

The event is open to various forms of expression and languages. Whether read from the sheet or recited from memory, whether quietly and concentratively or loudly and physically: each performance develops its own narrative dynamics. The limitation to five minutes condenses the contributions into concise literary miniatures.

Ko Bylanzky Moderates the Evening

The evening will be hosted by Ko Bylanzky, an experienced slam master, literary event organizer, author, and moderator. For many years, he has shaped the Poetry Slam scene in the German-speaking area, organizing reading stages and moderating Poetry Slams in several cities. In 2020, he received the Schwabinger Kunstpreis for his cultural work.

Reading Atmosphere with Surprises

The literary experience at Lindenkeller emerges from the closeness between stage and audience. Voice, rhythm, pauses, and spontaneous reactions shape a lively reading atmosphere, in which each text only sounds that way once. The participants will be announced about two weeks before the event.

Conclusion: Experience Literature Live

The Poetry Slam at Lindenkeller combines literary quality with immediate stage energy. Visitors can expect a diverse author encounter between contemporary poetry, comedy, performance, and spoken word. Anyone who wants to experience language not just read, but in its voice and movement, should witness this evening live.
