The Journey Continues: Tina & Elli Bring Europe to Freising

One year in a van, countless encounters, and plenty of music: Tina van Wickeren and Elli Erl invite you to a special reading and music evening at the Freising City Library on November 19, 2026. The focus is on the second part of their inspiring journey through Europe – personal, humorous, and accompanied by their own songs.

Stories from the Camper, Music from the Heart

For five years, the two authors and musicians saved for their sabbatical year. From August 2021 to August 2022, they lived together with their dog Linus in their camper van, exploring France, Spain, Portugal, and Italy. Their experiences between remote dream locations, culinary discoveries, and the daily challenges of living in a small space flowed into the book Unplugged. With Dog, Guitar, and Van on Tour.

Reading Meets Live Music

The evening combines travel narration, personal insights, and acoustic stage performance. As with the first event, Tina and Elli will accompany their stories with live music and their own songs. Guitar, singing, and an immediate audience atmosphere create an intimate concert experience where memories, longing for travel, and musical closeness intertwine.

Authentic Insights into a Free Life

In the second part of their journey, the two will take the audience to further stops of their year-long tour. They will talk about real life in the bus, free camping, organizational challenges, and the little moments that turn into great memories along the way. The mix of reading, music, and humorous travel stories makes the evening a varied cultural event for literature and music fans.

An Evening with Elli Erl

Elli Erl became known to a wide audience as the winner of the second season of Deutschland sucht den Superstar. Together with Tina van Wickeren, she stands today for handmade acoustic pop-rock music, personal lyrics, and an approachable stage performance. The book Unplugged combines photos, playlists, song lyrics, and travel stories with the duo's own musical impressions.

Conclusion: Wanderlust, Music, and Real Life Stories

Visitors can expect a diverse evening between travel literature, live music, and personal stories from the van. Those who want to not only read about Tina & Elli but also hear their journey and experience it atmospherically should witness this special event at the Freising City Library live.
