Christmas and Winter Market at Munich Airport: Enchantment of Lights in the Pine Forest
From November 13 to December 27, 2026, the MAC Forum at Munich Airport will transform into a festively decorated Christmas and winter market. Visitors can expect a festive market atmosphere filled with culinary delights, handicrafts, and live music amongst the pine trees, shimmering lights, and a large ice rink.
Regional Diversity and Winter Enjoyment Moments
Around the ice rink, numerous market stalls invite visitors to stroll and discover. The offerings include handicrafts, Christmas decorations, jewelry, clothing, toys, and selected gift ideas. Additionally, winter specialties such as hot chestnuts, steamed noodles, tarte flambée, and warming beverages will be available. The market combines the classic shopping experience with the special atmosphere of Munich Airport.
Ice Skating and Curling
The center of the winter market is the large ice rink. Visitors can go ice skating or curling daily from 11 AM to 9 PM. Skates can be rented on site; admission to the market itself is free. There is a usage fee of 5 euros per person for ice skating, and the rental also costs 5 euros. An ice curling lane can be booked for 25 euros per hour.
Live Music and Family Program
On the opening day, Friday, November 13, 2026, from 6 PM to 9 PM, Taxi Richtung Hoamat will perform a mix of Austropop, country, and rock classics. From 4 PM to 6 PM, Clown Rudolfo will entertain the youngest market visitors. Throughout the market duration, live music, children's activities, and seasonal program highlights will be featured on the event calendar.
Covered Market in Every Weather
The MAC Forum offers a covered outdoor area that makes the visit independent of the changeable November or Advent weather. A protected meeting place for travelers, families, airport staff, and market visitors from Munich and the surrounding area will be created between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. The S-Bahn lines S1 and S8 bring visitors directly to Munich Airport.
The Christmas and winter market at Munich Airport combines festive lighting, seasonal culinary culture, crafts, and winter activities into a unique shopping experience. Those wishing to begin Advent with music, ice rinks, and culinary variety will enjoy a market visit with its own airport atmosphere.
