„Three Men in the Snow“ brings Erich Kästner's famous winter comedy to the stage of the Asamtheater in Freising. The performance by the Freising amateur stage combines humorous mix-ups with a look at social differences and the power of true friendship.

A Comedy About Appearance and Reality

At the center are three men whose encounter is shaped by different life worlds. Class differences play a role, as does the question of whether origin and social status really say something about a person's worth. Through mix-ups, situations arise that entertain and at the same time provoke thought.

Erich Kästner's winter comedy is known for its warm-hearted humor and human perspective. The story shows how easily prejudices can lead to misconceptions—and how genuine connection arises from initially unexpected encounters. Thus, the play combines cheerful moments with a timeless message about fairness, openness, and friendship.
