I've been a customer of this bank for years, but what's happening now is simply unacceptable. The account maintenance fees for my checking account have been unilaterally increased by almost 75% – without any real alternative or option. When I called to inquire, I was told that there's only one account model and I can't switch to a cheaper one. According to the bank, the only "way" to reduce the fee is to use additional paid services like insurance or a credit card – which, of course, ends up being even more expensive. For me, that's not an option and feels like a forced sale. Even worse: If I don't agree to the fee increase, they'll simply close my account. Is this the thanks I get after years of loyalty and reliable account management? I'm extremely disappointed with how existing customers are treated. This approach is customer-unfriendly, unfair, and shows a lack of respect. I can no longer recommend this bank.

Because the ATM in Langenbach was out of order for several days, I didn't even have enough cash for a snack at work. I complained to the main branch in writing and by phone. They explained why this was the case (an external company was on strike, etc., etc. (are they perhaps underpaid??)) and suggested I withdraw money elsewhere (for a fee, of course) or pay by card (yeah, right, at the snack bar). Account maintenance fees are still due in full, even though the service isn't provided (it's only 2 days out of 30, the employee said). The ATM was out of service for at least 8 days! The bank employee on the phone was also uncooperative and arrogant/not very customer-oriented. More and more branches are being closed (e.g., Haag, Langenbach), and then you can't even rely on the ATMs working... a service desert...

I've been with the bank for two years now, ever since I moved to Germany. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and Mr. Gorgievski always finds a solution. Five stars for the bank, but ten for Mr. Gorgievski!

Contact terminated without explanation. EDIT: After this (one-star) review, the bank finally got in touch. There was still no valid explanation, but at least an apology. Corrected from 1 to 3.
