If you're looking for a nice walk in a forest this place is definitely for you. The route is about 3 km long. You can finish it in a beer garden. We've visited it on Saturday and met a flea market right at the parking lot.

This place is just behind my current house in Freising. It is a very well known place if someone (family/ small group) wants to enjoy nature at its best. This is a small forest with different types of plants and trees. This is very informative for kids to learn the different types of plant groups. All the special types of plants / leaves are labelled with proper names from the forest authority. I go often on weekends for a lazy walk through the forest and to enjoy the serenity of nature. Many families come with their children on weekends. There is a kid's playing ground and for adults a beer garden with a small restaurant. There is facility to park your car at the entrance of the Walderlebnispfad but it is tough to go through the forest with a wheelchair for differently enabled people.

A beautiful forest in the middle of Freising. Kid friendly and lots of things for kids to do. Biergarten have good pizza and lots of seating options.

Very nice path in the woods where the children have the chance to learn more about the trees. The path is circular and after one hour you reach back to the beer garden where you can get some food and beverages. The obazda and the pizza were great and the beer cold and fresh. Don’t miss the grill fish, we’ve noticed it after we’ve ordered the food. Next time we will not miss it.
