Bavarian-Swiss Advent: Alpine sounds and Bavarian festive spirit in Freising

When the Advent season combines warm voices, resonant horns, and traditional folk music, a special concert experience arises in the gallery of the Freising Bank. The Bavarian-Swiss Advent brings together musical guests from Switzerland and regional ensembles on December 3, 2026.

Three-part yodeling from Switzerland

At the center are the Niederhäusern siblings from Flamatt in the Swiss canton of Fribourg. Ameli, Nadja, and Francin have officially been singing as a three-part trio without accompaniment since summer 2023. Their musical roots trace back to a children's choir where they discovered yodeling. The clear multi-voiced harmonies and natural vocal synchronization give their performance a distinctive sound.

The trio has been celebrated at numerous performances in Switzerland and on Swiss television. This is the first time the three sisters are performing in Bavaria, adding a special international accent to the Advent program.

Alphorn sound meets Bavarian folk music

The Freising Alphorn Trio complements the evening with the characteristic sounds of the Alps. The long, resonant natural tones of the alphorn create a wide soundscape, while the 3klang Birthday Music represents the Bavarian side of the musical exchange. This results in a varied concert evening between Swiss yodeling tradition, Bavarian folk music, and a festive Advent atmosphere.

A musical journey with words

Speaker Thomas Braun guides through the program, connecting the individual contributions into a harmonious overall experience. Conducting and orchestration take a backseat to the immediate encounter of voice, natural instrument, and traditional music culture. The focus is on authenticity, mutual music-making, and closeness to the audience.

Festive live atmosphere in the gallery of the Freising Bank

The gallery of the Freising Bank on Münchner Straße provides the perfect setting for a concentrated concert evening. Amid warm Advent tones, multi-part singing, and the deep resonance of the alphorns, a unique audience atmosphere emerges that brings tradition to life and makes the pre-Christmas magic audible.

Conclusion: Advent music that connects borders

The Bavarian-Swiss Advent promises an atmospheric concert experience with international guests, regional folk music, and impressive natural sounds. Those who want to experience the Advent season musically, authentically, and communally will find a special evening full of colors and emotions in Freising on December 3, 2026.
